From Seiko s new Speedtimer solar chronographs inspired by Seiko s rich and continuing tradition of sports timing. The SFJ009P is a limited edition model that celebrates the 110th anniversary of the first wristwatch made by Seiko in 1913 called the Laurel. This Speedtimer solar chronograph, is an analogue chronograph capable of measuring elapsed time to 1/100th of a second. The sub dial hands at the two, 10, and 12 o clock positions are a vivid shade of red in honour of the Laurel. And like the early Seiko inspiration, the dial is a bright white. Black sub dials enhance legibility while making a subtle nod to vintage Seiko chronographs. It features curved sapphire crystal glass with anti reflective coating on the inner surface, LumiBrite hands and indexes and a solar calibre that is powered by any light source. It comes with an additional leather strap and limited to 3,500 pieces globally and is presented in a special box.
